I am not expecting a similar meltdown here, but the point is, the game is going to be colossal.Īs ever, it’s impossible to report on Hogwarts Legacy without mentioning the very public culture war about the game where some believe buying the game supports the anti-trans views of Harry Potter author JK Rowling, while others claim to be “spite buying” the game to upset that crowd.
They could be absolutely terrible (though early previews have not been) but there are so many pre-sales at this point, it would be a Cyberpunk situation where the game was simply so hyped it sold 13 million copies its first three weeks despite being fundamentally broken on many platforms. Reportedly, reviews for Hogwarts Legacy are supposed to drop next Monday, February 6.
